Susan is one of those horse loving kids who never got to have a horse as a child. To fill the void, she drew horses on EVERYTHING and over the years got pretty good at it. Her Italian parents gave her some good advice "If you want a horse so bad, go to college, get a degree and make some money." She got her degree in teaching, eventually landing a position as art teacher in Texas. She realized her parents were not so wrong after all for she gave has been able to enjoy owning and showing horses through the years.

Susan has done many horse and pet portraits along with western, landscape and Texas bluebonnet paintings. Retired from teaching in 2012, she did a few saddle stands and as orders poured in, she realized this would be her second career.

She still does horse and pet portraits and other paintings.

Thank you for your interest in Susan’s Saddle Stands. I hope I get a chance to work with you and help you find the perfect saddle stand for your needs. I get many inquiries about these custom designed stands and many requests to come and look at what I have for sale. If you would like more information about any stand or artwork, please feel free to contact me. I will be more than happy to answer any questions.

These stands often sell quickly and there is a growing list of people wanting one. If you are interested in one, consider putting a deposit down a non-refundable deposit of $50 which will insure your place in line. I will contact you and let you know when I start work on your stand. If, for any reason, you change your mind, your deposit can then be applied towards the purchase price of any other art that I have available.
